1. Prepare the url you want to shorten, i have an example :

http://www.facebook.com/xnyss

2. Go to http://bit.ly/

2. Put the long url to the textbox

3. Click Shorten It!

4. There you go, you will get the shortened URL : http://on.fb.me/mroG2G

5. You can even make it shorter again by removing the http: protocol, so http://on.fb.me/mroG2G will be come on.fb.me/mroG2G
